The mixing paddle is painted for corrosion protection. and easy cleaning.
Using a mixing paddle resulting in a smoother mix and ensures a full mix of the product, with paints a uniform mix will give a uniform colour and with mixing powders ensures there are no dry areas in the mix that will create weakness and perhaps even failure of the material once dry.
